South America Vegoils
We have seen a reduced activity in July for vegoil exports. However, the combination of few ships available in the East Coast of South America with still a strong CPP market in the West pushed the rates up.
The Charterers looking for 1h July positions had to pay above last dones while there are still some cargoes left for 2h July which have not been too much tested yet as the number of ships vs cargoes seems to be more balanced towards end of the month.
Even with this parameter, owners are pushing for higher rates for next done fixtures, which is likely to happen if the CPP in the West remains as it is now.
Black Sea Sunflower Seed oil exports
Same as last month, Ukrainian sunflower oil exports are unfortunately stopped due to the worldwide-known Russian invasion, which put the whole Black Sea region in a state of war alert.
Other products such as CPP keep flowing via neighboring countries with high premiums taking place and few Owners taking the risk.
Sadly there is no much info to share on the vegoil market despite our sympathy for families, homes, goods and business lost among all this chaos.
We hope this come to an end sooner rather than later.
